GAMEDAY 2012 TEEN Conference

This is going to be a great conference..click details for more......details :)

GAMEDAY 2012 Conference

When: April 13th-14th

Where: Sears Center in Chicago ILLinois

Who/Cost: 7th-12th grade Students / $80 per student due March 7th

What: Teen Training Conference hosted by "Dare 2 Share" Ministries

This year’s GameDay Tour is built around 2 Timothy 4:1-‐8, the Apostle Paul’s famous passage on running the race and winning the prize. Through dynamic training, worship, drama, and outreach opportunities your teenager will come away motivated and mobilized to follow Paul’s three powerful charges to young believers:

  • Go... preach the Word by learning the basics of the full story of the GOSPEL and the inerrancy of Scripture.

  • Fight... for their friends by training hard and learning to use the tools of prayer, pursuit and persuasion to reach their friends who need Jesus.

  • Win... the reward by playing for keeps, so that, like the Apostle Paul, they can say: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. And now the prize awaits me.”

MSRNR 2011
The Carlson Gravel Pit
Edgerton, OH
What in the world is MSRNR? Why, Man Stuff Rest n Relaxation, of course!!
This is a "man and sons only" camping weekend at the gravel pit in Edgerton. We usually do one or two special events at the pit every year, thanks to the generosity of Kim Carlson's mom, Norma Hardy. AND the hard work of Kim and his family. This year ManStuff Ministries is expanding its efforts to create opportunities for men (and their sons) to get away. The focus of this new event is REST AND RELAXATION! The annual all-night event is about EXHAUSTION! And the annual fall retreat has some CHALLENGE items. But this MSRNR weekend we are just going to have fun, eat good food, enjoy each others fellowship, and be refreshed. There will also be times to sing around the fire, worship our Father, and eat the Living Bread of the Word of God. In that department we will continue with the Strongheart/Braveheart theme, focusing on CleanHeart, which we MUST have if we are to have Strongheart/Braveheart.
More details about this event are forthcoming, but for now, GET IT ON YOUR CALENDARS, MEN!!

Community Service Outreach
We are making great progress on the home of Barb Poorman! Barb's husband, Dick, passed away a few years ago and she cannot possibly attend to all the normal upkeep issues of a home. Two of the four front flower beds are completed. One of the two backyard flower beds are done. It has been some very hard work! Almost all of the scraping is finished, much of the caulking, and a lot of the priming have been done. A new water heater has been installed, and two new sump pumps. We had a great turnout last Wednesday! Thanks to all who have come out to 'sweat for Jesus.' :-) The love of Jesus Christ is touching the hearts of Barb, Tiffany her daughter, Paula, Tiffany's two year old, and Collin, Tiffany's boyfriend. There is still much to be done, so please consider coming out to bless the Lord Jesus by blessing our community. Bring your gloves, any yards tools you would like to bring, paint brushes, etc. and come help. It is a beautiful opportunity for us to love this family, and in the process, bring a smile to our Father's face!

Beth Moore Series-Esther
Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman by Beth Moore is an in-depth women's Bible study that looks at the Old Testament story of Esther as a profile in courage. Workbooks available, 14.95. FOR LADIES ONLY!
Join Beth in a very personal examination of this great story of threat and deliverance as she peels back the layers of history and shows how very contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is to our lives. If you've ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the Bible study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther's day, it's tough today. This portion of God's Word contains treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives.
